Random thought for the day

In the Year 2525

This song popped into my head this evening, do you reckon we’ll make it even that far.

Not at this rate, and not in any form we would recognise from today…

Have you every had those dreams where you are running, but not getting anywhere?

Or tried climbing up a sand or scree slope?

How about trying to make ends meet, while the cost of everyday essentials keeps going up?

The Red Queen’s race is an incident that appears in Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking-Glass and involves the Red Queen and Alice, constantly running but remaining in the same spot.

“Well, in our country,” said Alice, still panting a little, “you’d generally get to somewhere else — if you run very fast for a long time, as we’ve been doing.”

“A slow sort of country!” said the Queen. “Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, just to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast!”

Opps… that’s a different sort of RED QUEEN’S RACE …

The point being of course, you can’t ever stand still, that’s just a fact of nature.

The real question though is; how fast do you need to be moving to stay in the same place, or move forward.

Life is hard enough already, we don’t need arseholes monkeys making it any more difficult.  Wasting time and effort paying for the stupid mistakes, gross fraud and deceit of others is beyond my tolerance level.

When we have got monkeys playing around with the world’s economy – it becomes necessary to start culling a few monkeys – off with their heads…

” The revolution will happen, when the peasants are prepared to crawl over the dead bodies of their brothers, to get at their enemies – and exact revenge. “

” Tangible properties can be reappropriated. Individuals can be hunted down, and I have absolutely no doubt at all that Goldman Sachs has been quick to settle its Chinese and Russian complaints because unlike the US Government, they can and will assassinate the Goldman Sachs executives after first cutting their children into small pieces before their eyes.”

I must say, I have often wondered why an awful lot more of this sort of stuff doesn’t happen…   everyone who’s anyone has already reached an understanding?

Time for us no-bodies to get into the game then, huh!

I have taken some more extracts from a Charles Hugh Smith essay (Of Two Minds).

His essay is about the accomplishment of a Stealth Coup of the United States by the financial elite.

However, I am more interested in a incidental quote he included regarding Revolutions.

Insurrection, the classic vehicle of revolution, is obsolete. The security apparatus of the modern state, with its professional personnel, with its diversified means of transport and communications, and with its extensive sources of information, cannot be defeated by civilian agitation, however intense and prolonged. Any attempt on the part of civilians to use direct violence with improvised means will always be neutralized by the efficiency of modern automatic weapons.

A general strike, on the other hand, will temporarily swamp the system, but cannot permanently damage it, since in the modern economic setting, the civilians will run out of food and fuel well before the military, the police and allied organizations.

Coup d’État: A Practical Handbook ~ by Edward Luttwak

(CHS note:   Organized violence always has an advantage over informally organized violence.  Luttwak’s first point about the futility of direct insurrection informed my own Survival+ critique, which concludes that the only effective means to weaken the Financial Power Elites who have partnered with State Elites; is to opt out and assemble voluntary non-privileged parallel structures which are independent of the Central State and its Power Elites…

No doubt there are a hundred and one theories about how to run a Revolution, or what it takes for a Revolution to succeed.

I will add my two cents worth.

1.)  The Left/Right – Blue/Red, existing tribalism must be broken one way or another.

So long as “everyone” is happily going along with the Status quo and their existing tribal allegiances, there will be no Revolution or change. The-Powers-That-Be and the Status Quo are here to assure that NOTHING changes.

Either there is civil unrest/disruption (from economic depression, or from street violence/crime, or what-ever) and there is a motivation towards change – or there is nothing… nothing changes

2.) Approximately 10% of the population needs to be behind the movement – in NZ that would mean as many as 400,000 people. (It may be possible to do it with less, but the odds fall steeply)

With 10% of the population all pushing in the same direction, things can be done, changes can be achieved.  (re point 3)

However, consider this: a normal electorate seat has some 20 – 30 thousand voters.  That means that a single candidate at an election could on a really good day swing approx 15,000 voters to their cause. And that is doing really well, with someone who is really popular and has a long history in their local community.

For a Revolutionary Leader to get 400,000 people behind them would need twenty time that sort of support . That’s kinda a huge ask, but has to be done one way or another, or again, nothing happens.

3.)  The reason 10% is the number is because of the herd mentality of the Sheeple.

The population brakes down into 4 basic groupings. the Left, the Right, the Middle, and the Fringe.

The Fringe is essentially irrelevant, they might amount to between 5-10%, but they basically never get involved in anything. They are off doing there own thing and don’t want to know.  Call it the Hippy element.

The Middle is also about 10%. Under normal circumstances they are the middle of the road crowd, the swing vote that determines normal elections.

Then there is the Left and the Right, they balance each other out at approx 40% apiece.

From somewhere in that lot you need to find your 10%, that is needed to break the existing joint grip on power of the two main blocks.

The Left and the Right are TweedleDum and TweedleDee, two sides of the same coin. They ARE the powers that be, or at least their Leaders are.

4.) the reason 10% can break them is because in spite of them being 80% combined, they are a stupid and inert 80%. And they are already inherently divided. The Revolutionaries job is to exploit that.

What needs to happen is what the Nazi’s did, and the Bolsheviks, and I imagine every other revolutionary before them down through history. You pick one of the two main factions – and attack it mercilessly. Whatever it takes, your job is to politically destroy one of the tribal factions. Its integrity and coherence must be severely disrupted.

That has two main benefits. First it destabilizes the system. And second, it actually forces the second faction to give their implicit support. (you are attacking their enemy afterall)

Once you have managed to remove one of the two main factions, not only is there a gaping power vacuum for you to move into and exploit, you have also compromised the other faction to the point where they will be substantially compelled to continue supporting you. As in all politics, you exploit that situation by telling them that you all want the same things, blah, blah, blah…  promise all things to all people.

Then go ahead and implement your own agenda. Typically this is also about when the “Night of the long knives” happens.  And you move to secure the Revolutions grip on the levers of power. (a Revolution is inherently a one party State) The previous cabal of politicians have to be removed and neutralized.

If you think anything of this sort can happen without lies, deceit and backstabbing (probably literally), then you really don’t understand grim reality.  By whatever reasons, the old leadership must be replaced and the sheeple must be motivated and directed to towards the the goal of revolution(and they are not going to do it spontaneously). They will need to be lead, cajoled, and even tricked into following the lead.

5.)  The last thing (that is the first thing also) is that there has to be from the outset an absolutely tight core of committed activists/revolutionaries who are of one mind and one purpose.

Because, as with any project, in order to get a really big, long term plan to succeed, there has to be a clear vision/objective that everyone sticks to. It needs a ‘critical path‘ and the impetus to pursue it.  The objects and obstacles along the way need to be tackled one by one and ticked off the list. You can not be going back and re-litigating decisions already taken.  Everyone in the tight core must know what they are doing and why.

In many ways, the biggest challenge of all will be getting that tight core together in the first place.  (who wants to join up???)

Before I finish up, a couple of quick points.

The quote at the top of this post said that a frontal assault against the power of the State is unworkable.  Even most “slip in from the side” approaches are not going to work. The State(Powers-That-Be) have a lot of power and resilience (inherently more than a revolutionary movement) because it is the power on the ground, the existing fact.

Therefore, ipso facto, the upsetting force must be unexpected, a surprise and something the existing tools of the State are incompetent to deal with. So while every revolution must on one level follow in the footsteps of historical precedent, they must also find their own unique, original angle of attack. One that is not anticipated and can’t be countered.

A revolution is only ever possible if certain pre-existing condition apply. the existing system and Status quo must be stressed (and distressed), like for instance, a really bad economic depression.  That’s a reasonably good starting point.  Then that spark needs to be fanned into a flame.

Here are a few memes that can(and I argue – must) be used, advertised and circulated in order to create propitious conditions for the Revolution. (Hat-tip:  Griftopia ~by Matt Taibbi )

> What has taken place over the last generation is a highly complicated merger of crime and policy, of stealing and government.

>  the varied agencies ostensibly charged with assuring fair and honest trade, but in fact are partners in crime with the financial and commodities brokers.

>  organized crime will always overcome disorganized democracy

>  a handful of companies are nothing more than a criminal network that sucks as much credit from a range of targets as possible, and then burns them to the ground to collect the insurance … outright fraud at every step of the way … on the commodities bubble that led to rising gasoline prices and food security issues and food riots world-wide, all for the financial benefit of a small group

>  [This is] not an era of economics run amok, but rather of organized crime running precisely as planned

>  It’s the rich against the rest of us, and we have been too stupid to even see this (in enough of a critical mass to make a difference)

>  They don’t feed us, we feed them.

>  Justice will be done, and there is no place on the planet for these people to hide.

And we need to get organised to do it.

Where will the revolution start?

Actually – not here in NZ.  Most likely the United States

Here is some interesting reading for you.

U.S. Midterm Elections Further Demonstrates The Need for Revolution

… Our paid-off government is not going to fix our problems, they are making them worse. Don’t you think it’s time for you to start representing yourself? Don’t you think it’s time for you to start defending your family’s interests?

These are questions that I’ve already asked myself and deeply considered. I made my decision and have dedicated myself to building a wide-ranging network of alliances across the political spectrum and have drafted a common ground platform that we are building off of. I’ve analyzed power politics very closely over the years. I know how the game is played and I know who our enemies are. I’m going to do everything I can to end the two-party oligopoly.

I’m not saying that you should follow me. I’m saying that it’s time for YOU to lead. It’s time for YOU to get involved. Build your own army. Once you start paying attention and put in some time to do the research, you will clearly see for yourself that both parties are working against your interests. You will also see how critical the situation is and realize that you can no longer be passive and expect to keep living a healthy and secure lifestyle. We are going to be tested in ways we have never been tested before. We cannot get away with being apolitical anymore. It’s time for us to pay attention, to become directly involved in the decision-making processes that guide our life. I know this is something that most people don’t enjoy and don’t want to do, but the consequences of our inaction will be much worse than anything we have ever experienced.   More…

This is even more startling:

Civil War 2 – The coming breakup of America.

~ Thomas Chittum.

Empire or Nation?

“History is littered with wars which everybody knew would never happen.”

~Enoch Powell, Member of the British Parliament

America was born in blood. America suckled on blood. America gorged on blood and grew into a giant, and America will drown in blood.

This is the spectre that is haunting America, the spectre of Civil War II, a second civil war that will shatter America into several new ethnically-based nations. Many will denounce this truth as racist and as a call to violence.  It is neither. Rather, it is the result of an objective examination of the historic, demographic, political, economic, and military developments that are relentlessly propelling America towards a second civil war. Simply and directly put, America will explode in tribal warfare in our lifetime and shatter into several new ethnically-based nations. And as America breaks up the very concept of multiethnic democracy will likewise be forever shattered. Artillery will blast our cities to flaming wastelands infested with psychotic snipers. Packs of feral dogs will tear at charred corpses hanging out of burnt-out tanks. Long columns of doomed refugees will clog our highways. Bands of guerrillas will stalk about the countryside – raping, looting, murdering, clashing with each other. Food production will all but cease. The hungry will fight to the death over scraps of garbage. Millions will starve, and millions more will die from infectious diseases. Behold the vision of Civil War II…

Which of course is all good apocalyptic stuff for all the Anarchists and Survivalists amoungst us.  But hold your judgement a moment and continue reading the book…

Read the facts he presents and then see if you can dispute his conclusions.

At the very least he draws a very believable and frightening scenario. There are a few things that might be stretching the Bow too far, also there is an unfortunate leaning towards a “white power” perspective. But try and ignore that and keep reading, consider his other points, there is an awful lot that is well within bounds.

At the very least I recommend you read this carefully. This is not something you would want happening because you didn’t see it coming.

” … The underlying cause of this second civil war is nothing less than the very nature of our country and its peoples. There are essentially two types of geopolitical entities – empires and nations – and they’re best considered by contrasting each to the other.

Empires are generally larger, sometimes even global in scope, and more likely to be geographically fragmented. Nations, on the other hand, are usually smaller and geographically continuous.

Empires consist of peoples of different religions, languages, cultures, races, and nationalities. One of these groups, a minority itself dominates the others by naked military power. Nations, on the other hand, are dominated by one group that makes up a majority of the population. Finally and most important, nations are inherently stable while empires are always inherently unstable. Nations are naturally stable because a majority of the people mutually recognize each other as co-nationals. Multi-ethnic empires never achieve true internal stability. They survive only by unrelenting military and police suppression of their inhabitants, and break up the minute the dominant group loses the military power, or the will, to shackle the empire’s peoples together.

To understand the future, study the past. Throughout world history, all multi-ethnic empires have broken up, and almost always in cataclysmic violence. Therefore, the question is not if the multi-ethnic American Empire will shatter, but when and under what circumstances…”    More…

Read on for disturbing, yet fascinating analysis by Chittum of why and how he thinks this could happen.  Remember too, he originally wrote this in 1995 – think about what direction the factors he talk’s about have moved since then…

Revolution indeed!!!

And not in a good way.
