While I was putting up the “Extract series”, I also read through the comments to the article “When Governments go rogue” [Alt-Market ~Brandon Smith]. I thought that there was a salient point raised there that also needed exposure and consideration.
Here is the section of comments that caught my attention:

DISAGREE
written by Brent Hanson,December 01, 2011The author is partially right, and partially wrong. Here’s where he went wrong:“We did not create this division. The American people did not ask to be targeted. Though we certainly have not done enough to fend off the numerous attacks upon our general liberties, the root of the problem still lay within the core of our government, the puppet leaders who abuse it, and the corporate elitists who use it as a staging ground for personal agendas.”The truth is that the American people have deliberately CHOSEN a path of evil. The 1st proof is that the people of the U.S. had the option to vote for Ron Paul in the Republican primaries of 2008. Only a small minority of the population chose to vote for this honorable man.The 2nd proof is that the people of the U.S. currently have the option (once again) to vote for Ron Paul in the Republican primaries of 2012. Still, only a small minority (10% – 20% at the most) will support Ron Paul. In fact, the majority of Republicans hate and vilify Ron Paul on a daily basis. They impale him with invectives such as “kook”, “nut”, “traitor”, “loon”. They refer to lovers of freedom as “Paultards”. This can be seen on the web site FreeRepublic.com
No, the American people have chosen a path of evil. They will suffer the consequences of their own choices, not the choices of some mythical “elite” power brokers.

So, the American people are evil because our election process is rigged in favor of globalist candidates? I think your argument is lacking in some of the finer complexities…
written by Brent Hanson,December 01, 2011Brandon, no one has “rigged” the vote, or if they have, it has had a negligible effect. While it is true that corporations offer up a menu of corrupt candidates, it is the voters who have voluntarily select the corrupt candidates. The corporations can no more force voters to accept their menu of corruption, than they can force consumers to purchase pornography, cocaine, heroin, and abortion.Examples of how the average Republican American thinks can be found on FreeRepublic.com. Here’s the header title on the site”Welcome to Free Republic, America’s exclusive site for God, Family, Country, Life & Liberty conservatives!”Let’s see how the “God, Family, Country, Life & Liberty conservatives” treat Ron Paul”. Ah, here’s a thread titled: “Why Do So Many Lunatics Support Ron Paul?”http://www.freerepublic.com/fo…3456/postsAre the people that write posts like this, paid stooges of globalists corporations? Or, do they represent the average Republican voter?
The answer is that average Republican voters that think like this. I know this to be true because I once volunteered to work at a phone bank for the Ron Paul campaign and was calling registered voters to gather polling data.
I heard nothing but scorn for Ron Paul.
So, yes, it is the average Republican American voter that chooses evil. The Democrats are even worse.

You are still operating on faulty logic. You claim that there is no vote rigging, but at the same time acknowledge that the odds are stacked in the favor of the establishment. If the elections are stacked with corrupt candidates, and Ron Paul is consistently marginalized by the MSM, how is this the fault of the American public?I fault the citizenry for not listening to the facts when they are presented, but I do not fault them for the crimes of the elites. Also, using one website as a litmus test for the political positions of all Americans is hardly scientific. Ron Paul consistently wins or ranks very high in straw polls, yet you seem to be completely overlooking that bit of evidence. If you live in a high crime neighborhood and you leave your door unlocked, then you are partly to blame if your home gets ransacked. However, that does not mean you are to blame for the trespasses of the criminals who did the ransacking.Your extreme scattershot viewpoint is silly. Just because someone does not vote for Ron Paul, even if they are informed of his policies, does not necessarily make them “evil”. Lets grow up a little bit and examine the deeper problem at hand, which is the manipuilation of the system by a select few, who are the root cause of the misinformation that leads to the public’s confused actions.*********************************written by Westcliffe Jeff,

@Brent Hansen
If the people are so evil and brought this upon themselves, how do you explain the fact that the approval rating of Congress is near an all-time low and the approval rating of the President is well below a majority (with a DISapproval rating higher than approval rating)? How does this represent the consent of the governed? This is a question I wrote about here:http://scpatriotsclub.com/blog/?p=344
Excellent article, Brandon! .

When the masses of people are given a ‘choice’ between 2 globalist puppets, there is no choice.
Bush was inarticulate, Obama is glib, both have handed the country over to Bernanke, Geithner and at bottom, Israel.
Ron Paul with Dennis Kucinich as his running mate would be the salvation of this country – and the world.*******************************
My answer to this whole debate is – System Capture.
Sure there is a “Free” vote, and sure the people in droves vote for ignorant (even retarded) options.
But that is the whole point of System-Capture.
What the system is Supposed to do – and what it Actually does – are two completely different things.
The problem with Elections isn’t anything so crude as direct Rigging of the vote-count: it is far more subtle than that.
You – the electorate – are being Gamed by the smartest minds in the world. When Money, Power and Control are at stake and up for grabs, the result IS NOT going to be left to chance.
Public Relations firms, Advertising Agencies, Political Strategists, Lobbiest, Market Researchers, Corporate funders/moneymen, Corporate Media, Political Parties and Career Politicians are all working hand in hand to create the “Correct“(sic) result.
As a general rule of thumb – you as a citizen/voter won’t ever even see or hear about the real issues or decisions. That sort of thing all happens behind closed doors.
You are deliberately and systematically excluding from anything of any real substance or consequence.
You are the 99%
You are being manipulated by the 1%
If you vote for change, and the end result is no change at all – guess what, that isn’t an accident. That is The-Powers-That-Be rigging the whole playing field to ensure the result they want.
It doesn’t have to be a direct conspiracy. It just needs enough powerful players with a common objective all pushing in the same direction. If they lean just hard enough on all the right levers and factors, the end result is that – Viola – objective achieved.
Status Quo maintained – looting continues.
Subtle. Very Subtle.
And so the vast majority never even cotton onto the fact that their opinions have been molded – that their choices in an election have been pre-selected for then – and that the whole process is guaranteed to produce the same outcome regardless of who wins. ( “change you can believe in” /sarc)
Tweedle-dum and Tweedle-dummer were both funded and endorsed by the same Powers-Behind-the-Throne. Two sides of the same coin/piece-of-silver.
What is more, the rules and regulations put in place around elections are also subtly rigged so that for all practical purposes, there is Zero chance of an outsider breaking in and stealing the result. (Ron Paul?)
In order to win an election, you need to be part of the Machine. And once you are part of the system, you are captured too. You will Never break the chains and reins put upon you, the group psychology is very strong, very conformist, and very rewarding(for obedience).
Or you will get ejected(and ridiculed). One or the other.
If you are part of the 1%, then you are in and stay in. Your well being depends on being part of the club, and that club shapes the world to it’s own ends. It is all illusion and distraction, smoke and mirrors. And they are certainly not going to tell you how it is all done – how the rigging actually works.
But you are not part of the 1% are you.
You are the 99%. Your version of reality has been created for you. You live in a simulacra of reality where all paths lead to the same result.
Do you chose evil if you make a choice between false dichotomies?
Or is the evil those who would trick you with such…
